OSTEOPATHY – Book online now
Osteopathy emphasizes the physical manipulation of the body’s muscle tissue and bones.
Osteopathy is a manual technique that helps to diagnose and treat mobility dysfunctions in body tissues that cause functional distress sometimes affecting your health. The goal of professional osteopathy is to help impeded body structures regain their mobility, thus improving the regulation of the interaction between the different body systems.
Its main therapeutic objectives are to put in motion the structures of the body that suffer from limitations, to regulate various body systems and ensure their healthy interrelation.
Osteopathy is an unconventional treatment approach (alternative medicine) that is based on the idea that manual manipulation of the musculoskeletal system and myofacial allows the relief of certain functional disorders.
Created June 22, 1874 by the American doctor Andrew Taylor Still (1828-1917), osteopathy is based on manual techniques for the conservation or restoration of mobility of the different structures of the body. Therapeutic method for preventive and curative, it is based on the idea that the loss of natural mobility of the organs against each other appears in the muscles, tendons, viscera, skull or envelopes (fascia) and induce some malfunctions.
Osteopaths believe that restoring the shape of body mechanics can lead to regulation of homeostasis. Osteopaths believe that conventional medicine is required for all violations of the structure of the body. Instead, they treat functional diseases, possibly psychosomatic, not under rehabilitation in kinesitherapy. An osteopath can work with a patient’s body structure problem once it has been supported by conventional medicine.
